Reverse Engineering

In this era of deregulation and increased competition in the power generation industry, nuclear plant operators find themselves squeezed between the pressure to watch costs closely and the compelling need to keep an aging plant operating efficiently and safely. When a specified component fails, the operator may find that the original manufacturer has discontinued the product or may even no longer be in business. On such occasions, UCI engineers analyze the original component, determine it's performance parameters, examine the original specifications and find an equivalent replacement component or create and dedicate a component to match the specifications.
