Our company has been in operation as United Controls International (UCI) since 1985. Over the years, our list of capabilities has lengthened, but our demonstrated commitment to providing reliable and high-quality solutions to our customers has not waivered. UCI’s current ownership continues to support and promote innovation and quality to deliver relevant solutions for safe and efficient nuclear power plant operations globally.


United Controls International (UCI) is a global provider of safety related material and services to the nuclear industry. We have a history of industry reliability with roots that date back to the 1960s, when we operated as a division of Reliance Electric’s Custom Controls Division. UCI has a robust quality assurance program that meets the requirements of 10CFR 50 Appendix B, NQA-1 2008/2009a, and ISO 9001. Our QA Program is audited by NUPIC and NIAC organizations along with other U.S. and international nuclear suppliers / utilities. UCI is a solely owned, small business, and we have two facilities located in Norcross, GA.

UCI’s management and leadership team focuses on continuous improvements in areas such as, employee development, safety protocols, setting and meeting objectives based on organizational goals, and promoting a nuclear safety culture. Our company is committed to finding innovative engineering solutions to fulfill the demanding situations faced by our nuclear utility customers; as well as, the new technological demands and expectations of the 21st century. As a way for UCI to ensure our customer satisfaction, annual employee and customer surveys are conducted to address any concerns and to initiate improvements.
